Welcome to Chasm of Books: here you’ll find book reviews and musings on TV and movies primarily about science fiction and fantasy products. My goal is to find fantasy and science fiction that’s actually worth your time, preferably starting with Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings.
Star Wars virgins are not only welcomed but encouraged, especially as the list of read Star Wars novels slowly increases. Warning: I am prone to championing Blackhearts by Nicole Castroman whenever the moment presents itself.
Underneath the bookish fetish and obsessions with Tolkien and Star Wars, I am an American, unpublished novelist determined to plug away until I write something worth sharing with the massive public. Currently, I go to school and spend my days looking for a Netflix show to replace Daredevil until season 3 arrives.
All novels are reviewed honestly and without any regard to how a book has been acquired, whether it was a gift, a personal purchase, on loan, or given for the explicit purpose for review by an author or publisher. I am no longer taking any outside review requests but am open to guest posts. Of course, readers are welcome to contact me via email as well.
