6 Books On My Hold List

I have a lot of books on hold that I’m planning on listening to in the next few weeks. Or whenever they become available… I absolutely LOVE borrowing audiobooks from the library. They are awesome ways for me to fit reading into my busy schedule.

So I thought I would share all of the books I have on hold with y’all! I have part of the synopsis included below with a link to Goodreads for each book as well! Let me know if you’ve ready any of these or are planning on it!

Where the Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens  – “For years, rumors of the “Marsh Girl” have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. She’s barefoot and wild; unfit for polite society. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark.”

Sadie by Courtney Summers – “Sadie hasn’t had an easy life. Growing up on her own, she’s been raising her sister Mattie in an isolated small town, trying her best to provide a normal life and keep their heads above water.

But when Mattie is found dead, Sadie’s entire world crumbles. After a somewhat botched police investigation, Sadie is determined to bring her sister’s killer to justice…”

Bird Box by Josh Malerman – “Something is out there, something terrifying that must not be seen. One glimpse of it, and a person is driven to deadly violence. No one knows what it is or where it came from.”

And the others…

Circe by Madeline Miller – “In the house of Helios, god of the sun and mightiest of the Titans, a daughter is born. But Circe is a strange child—not powerful, like her father, nor viciously alluring like her mother. Turning to the world of mortals for companionship, she discovers that she does possess power—the power of witchcraft, which can transform rivals into monsters and menace the gods themselves.”

Five Feet Apart by Rachael Lippincott – “Stella Grant likes to be in control—even though her totally out of control lungs have sent her in and out of the hospital most of her life. At this point, what Stella needs to control most is keeping herself away from anyone or anything that might pass along an infection and jeopardize the possibility of a lung transplant. Six feet apart. No exceptions.

The only thing Will Newman wants to be in control of is getting out of this hospital. He couldn’t care less about his treatments, or a fancy new clinical drug trial. Soon, he’ll turn eighteen and then he’ll be able to unplug all these machines and actually go see the world, not just its hospitals.”

The Fork, the Witch, and the Worm by Christopher Paolini  – “A wanderer and a cursed child. Spells and magic. And dragons, of course. Welcome back to the world of Alagaësia.

This volume features three original stories set in Alagaësia, interspersed with scenes from Eragon’s own unfolding adventure. Included is an excerpt from the memoir of the unforgettable witch and fortune-teller Angela the herbalist . . . penned by Angela Paolini, the inspiration for the character, herself!”
