March 2019 TBR | In Which I Die From Anticipation

Posted March 8, 2019 by Stephanie in General / 1 Comment

I didn’t read as much as I had hoped I would in February but I am very excited for March! Partly because I am off to a great start already! I’m hoping to finish reading two books in the first week, which will help free me up to read some other larger books later on in the month!

Seriously though, I can tell that every book on this list is going to be amazing.

There are only going to be more great books coming out as the year goes on so I want to get as many of the books as possible that are on this list read. As it is, I still need to get a copy of Warrior of the Wild   by Tricia Levenseller.

Books I’m Reading For Sure

The Waking Forest – ARC Copy: This book comes out on the 12th so I’m planning on getting this read in the next week or so. (I’m writing this on the 1st so hopefully I’ve finished it by the time this post goes live.) I did start reading it the other night though and the first few pages have blown me away.

Seven years ago, the Atargatis set off on a voyage to the Mariana Trench to film a “mockumentary” bringing to life ancient sea creatures of legend. It was lost at sea with all hands. Some have called it a hoax; others have called it a maritime tragedy.

Wicked Saints – ARC Copy: I know I meant to read this a while ago and I’ve started it but other books have taken priority. This book is coming out on April 2nd though so I’m DEFINITELY reading it this month! I am looking forward to reading this book and hope that I love it.

A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.

A prince in danger must decide who to trust.

A boy with a monstrous secret waits in the wings.

Into the Drowning Deep – Paperback: I started reading this book the last week of February and it’s reminds me of Jurassic Park in some ways. It’s creepy and utterly gripping. Hopefully by the time this post goes live I’ve already finished it but man, this book is amazing.

Books I Would Like to Read

The Ruin of Kings – Hardcover: I’m planning on buddy reading this week a friend of mine. Plus, I’m about 30 pages into it already and I can tell I’m going to love this book. It’s rather large though so we’ll see if I end up finishing it this month. I’m really hoping I will!

Kihrin is a bastard orphan who grew up on storybook tales of long-lost princes and grand quests. When he is claimed against his will as the long-lost son of a treasonous prince, Kihrin finds that being a long-lost prince isn’t what the storybooks promised.

The Priory of the Orange Tree -Hardcover: This is a big if. I have this book from the library until the end of March. It is HUGE though so I’m not sure I’ll be able to finish this as well as all of these other books this month. I’m going to try though!

A world divided.
A queendom without an heir.
An ancient enemy awakens.

The House of Berethnet has ruled Inys for a thousand years. Still unwed, Queen Sabran the Ninth must conceive a daughter to protect her realm from destruction—but assassins are getting closer to her door.

  1. I really loved The Ruin of Kings!! Definitely worth the read, no matter it’s size. I really hope to read Priory, too; just not sure how soon I’ll be able to read it.
