February 2019 TBR List | Time to Tackle an ARC

Posted February 5, 2019 by Stephanie in General / 2 Comments

It’s that time of the month. It’s time for my February TBR list. January was an awesome reading month for me and I plan on repeating that this month as well, although my actual TBR list isn’t going to be quite as ambitious. But I have a very good reason. Actually, I have two good reasons.

Reason #1: This month I’ll be working on revisions for my own novel.

Reason #2: I want to read a thicker book this month. By thicker, I’m meaning a physical book I already own that is at least 450 pages or longer. Now I still haven’t decided which book that’s going to be but I am determined to make it happen.

Books I’m Reading For Sure

Wicked Saints – ARC Copy: I started this book last month and I’ve made some more progress in it. I am notoriously bad at reading ARCs but I promised myself if I requested any I would read them all and I’ve only requested books I’m really interested in. I’m liking Wicked Saints so far. It’s interesting. This is one of my most anticipated books this year so I’m really hoping that I’ll end up loving this.

A girl who can speak to gods must save her people without destroying herself.

Obsidio – Audiobook Copy: I listened to Illuminae and Gemina as audiobooks and really enjoyed both of them. I am excited that my library had this available. I grabbed it the second I saw it and am actually currently listening to it.

With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heroes will fall, and hearts will be broken.

The Cold is in Her Bones – Hardcover: This book is actually less than 300 pages so it should be a pretty fast read. It’s supposed to be a Medusa retelling so I’m pretty excited about it. This just came out on 1/22/2019 too so I would like to get to this sooner rather than later.

Milla knows two things to be true: Demons are real, and fear will keep her safe.

The last book on my TBR is unknown but it will be over 450 pages. Right now I’m thinking about either reading Stain by A.G. Howard or A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab. We’ll see what happens.

What books are you wanting to read this month? Are any of these on your list?

Oh I’m really curious about The Cold Is In Her Bones! I’m waiting to see some reviews for it but like, eep, I hope it’s good! 👀(I’m also trying to do revisions + read a monstrous amount lol…it is not going well. I need to just be ok with reading less when there’s other things to be done!)

    • The Cold is in Her Bones has a lot of potential but didn’t quite hit that sweet spot for me. Lol. Ah, reading + revisions = not a good combination. I know when I do my own revisions all reading goes out the window for me.
