7 Halloween Book Recs

It’s the best time of the year! Halloween! Creepy movies. Creepy TV shows. And, to top it all off, creepy books! This is legit my favorite holiday of the year and I have slowly been working on getting my house ready for it. But I’ve put together a great line-up of Halloween books for you!

Halloween screams DRACULA to me, so just bear that in mind as I provide this handy list for you. Now, I know that I am sort of cheating with this list. Ordinarily, I write up a little something as to why I recommend each book but I often like to just scroll through lists. So I’ve modeled that list off of how I typically scroll through them. I’ve linked my reviews to the books I’ve reviewed on the blog here, with the exception of Frankenstein.

A note on Frankenstein: I want to go back and try reading this book again so I’m not considering my current review as my final opinion. I would also like to note that I am in fact cheating by adding The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein to this list since I haven’t actually read it yet. But I’m pretty confident adding it here anyhow.

1. Stoker’s Manuscript by Royce Prouty

2. The Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein by Kiersten WHite

3. The Madman’s Daughter by Megan Shepherd

4. Dracula by Bram Stoker

5. Frankenstein by Mary Shelley

6. And I Darken by Kiersten White

7. The Glass Casket by McCormick Templeman

What books do you like to read for Halloween? What are your favorites and have you read any of these?
